About the Book

‘Not a Wave Visible’: Widow Hilda Jones and her gentleman friend, Ernest, meet regularly at an isolated seaside shelter. But one day life begins to change radically for them. ‘The Gardener’: Sarah, Leo and Jack live uneventfully on the edge of a sleepy village. Then suddenly Leo sends Sarah a text to say he’s not coming back from holiday. ‘Swifts’: Richard encounters two enigmatic strangers on holiday. ‘Mr K’s House’: Adam’s journey to find Mr. K’s house is far from simple. ‘The Right Position’: Defying his own expectations, untalented musician Henry secures an enviable post. ‘Night Music’: Boris’s master, one of the most powerful men in the world, makes a sudden and unexpected request. ‘Superior Bargains’: A new department store opens at midnight. However, things don’t go according to plan. (In this collection of plays a number of unexpected developments and changes alter the humdrum lives of the various characters within)
