The technology of the machine and the tools to make patterns include the following: —drafting the strategy of the pattern —pattern basic —grading the size —the learner’s knowledge in the basic of mathematics —the leaner’s competence in business management and managing income. This is a technical course that will contribute greatly to the growth of the economy. The author is working in conjunction with SETA, or Sector Education and Training Authority, a South African government initiative.


About the Author

Maiga Hamadoun Oumarou was born in Tombouctou City in mysterious Mali in 1953. He worked under the government as a supermarket manager at the province of Tonka. Hamadoun Oumarou Maiga later relocated to Ivory Coast, where he registered in Cour Tidian College, the first fashion design school in West Africa. He graduated with a diploma, being the first student of the year, in 1984. He ventured into the fashion design business after graduating. He was instrumental in mobilizing other fashion designers, and eventually they formed a union. He later became the CEO of the union in Abobogar District from 1987 to 1994 when they relocated to South Africa after the fall of apartheid and Nelson Mandela become the president. He operates a fashion design school that he opened in 1998. Currently, he is running various programmes with the South African government, Department of Training Industry, and art culture recreation.
