Ryanna's favorite is cotton candy; "How in the world, she mused, could the cotton inside of a medicine bottle magically become such an edible confection?!!" She nearly trampled over everything within inches of her feet as her mom called her for the fair. "Coming Mommy," returned Ryanna nearly ripping the arm off of her doll as she slung it on her bed.

About the Author
Helen Ryan Miles' second book, Cotton Candy Hair focuses on a little girl's fascination with the fair at a level the author discovered only as an adult. "It's the most fun a 'kid' of any age can have." She is working on a third and fourth book, one of which may be a collection of essays or a series of two or three children's books featuring a teacher as the main character. Her first book, a poem entitled, Our Best and Most Accomplished, encourages us to value our children so that they in turn learn to value themselves and others. Miles earned a B.S. in Health Education from Florida State University and a Master's in Education from Stetson University. She and husband are retired teachers living in Central Florida.
