“What’s up world I’m Keon Campbell better known as “Kilo” to the streets of the underworld in Youngstown, Ohio. I grew up fatherless just like 85% of the other black kids that grow up in the hood. And without a father figure teaching me how to take on responsibilities and be a man I turned to the streets unknowingly for guidance. At 13 my “boyhood” journey began tearing the hood up with my three closest friends. Slim, Fresh and Quick. My nigga Slim government name Issac Cook is what we (hood niggas) like to call a trill ass nigga. He kind of put you in the mind of the late New Orleans rapper Soulja Slim. My nigga is way past loyal. Now my nigga Fresh born Marshawn Morgan is a real flashy flamboyant ass nigga. A real live wire that loves to be the center of attention any time we go out. Fresh’s gift from God as he say “Is to attract the baddest bitches created.” Then it’s Lorenzo “Quick” Edwards. Quick got his name from his swiftness in the game. He was always ahead of everybody else out the click. Even when we were in school he’ll finish his work before everybody then sit back and send text messages on his phone while everybody else worked.

About the Book
The Longest Drought Ever is about four childhood friends that grew up in an environment where having a father figure around was like hitting the lottery. The chances of that—very slim. So with no male guidance around to teach them how to be a man, they turned to the streets unknowingly. They went from selling weed to getting connected with a Mexican cartel and took to the streets of Youngstown, Ohio, like professionals. After getting everything they ever dreamed of, one decided that he wanted no more part of the drug trade, but the rest did. Will the cartel let that one walk while the others continue to do business?
About the Author
About the Author Keith L. Bell was born in Nashville on February 6, 1988 to Kerry L. Bell and Willie McLeod, along with two other siblings. He lost his mother May of 2013 while incarcerated and working on “The Longest Drought Ever.” He has been writing since 2007, penning his first novel. While he was incarcerated in 2011, his passion grew and turned into a desire to create stories that served as an escape from the stress of daily events.
