About the Book

This book is a fictional work of nonfictional experiences, thoughts, feelings, and emotions of a man in an attempt to survive his case of paranoid schizophrenia. It is an all-extreme, no-limit, and anything-goes guide through madness, youthful senility, and dementia to the safe and secure sanctuary of sanity. It is of lessons learned the hard way summarized into a poetic flow for therapeutic release and, ironically, entertainment. From the highest of highs to the deadliest of lows, this book is intended to be read with an open mind and an open heart for full effect—to touch, to teach, inform, or instruct of difficulties and differences we all face as we interact and commune with various others.

About the Author

My name is Kaero Davis. I am of Scottish, Irish, and Australian Aboriginal descent, might even have some hint of Scandinavian blood in there as well, but I am an artist and a writer. I was born February 1, 1989, and am related to the author Steel Rudd. Both my art and writing are hobbies and interests and also a therapeutic release away from my severe and persistent mental illnesses, paranoid schizophrenia and depression. I’m not the first with this condition and I won’t be the last, but of all things I have trouble keeping on top of, I feel it’s like a 50/50 percent chance of maintaining some control over this. Some days are good, others aren’t so great; but I’m always trying my hardest to never let it get to me, never get the better of me or defeat me, and I often write about it. I write journal entries, poetry, and short stories. The poetry and short stories I hope one day will make a name for me—all of which I am yet to publish and yet to share with the world. This book is a work of my life experiences partially fictionalized to hopefully introduce a little understanding into the psyche of my mind, and then of course, for some entertainment. This book is an icebreaker with the intent to decrease some of the tension associated in dealing with schizophrenia, a breakdown of thought, emotion, feeling, and everything else that deters the public from an association with people like myself. This work is entitled DeSensitizer. Please read and enjoy.
