When death reaches out and takes someone we love, it leaves a void in our soul. Grief is no stranger to the process of life. We find comfort and healing by coming together to celebrate the experiences of the individual whose life has ended. For example, we have memorial services to recite stories of the life that we mourn. Saying goodbye to our loved one reminds us that each of us is treated equally in the eyes of God. We become mindful that we too will die, causing the loved ones we leave behind to grieve for us. The intensity of grief relates to the circumstances surrounding it. For example, the loss of a child probably has a stronger impact on us than the death of an individual who has led a fully productive life. How do we cope with it? Just as in birth we can celebrate a person’s life so that we sharpen our memories of his or her soul upon their passing. In our healing we can recognize how helping others adds to the meaning of our life and uplifts those we have lost.

About the Book
An Angel’s Memorial Guide is a book of healing. It approaches healing, beginning from the loss of a loved one and then gradually exploring the many paths leading to the departed soul. If you read, meditate, and pray after reading each of the selections, you may discover a link to the beyond. The book shares with the reader how he or she can participate in bringing healing to themselves. By example, it explores the love between a father and a son who tragically died at the age of twenty-three years old. Father and son recognize each other in spiritual contexts and attempt to bridge the gap of mutual love and love of humanity. It presents a chain of thought of how in healing oneself one can add to the beauty of our world and the happiness of others.
