When the world finally stopped spinning, Abe struggled to orient himself in a completely different world. He must not have been anywhere near his home because nothing appeared normal. The colors were more vibrant, with nature in all directions, but most bizarre of all, a glowing castle sat off in the distance. “Where am I?” Abe shrieked. He had never been anyplace like this before. Hoping there was someone in the castle who could help, Abe decided to head towards it. He didn't get far before a young girl hopped out of the bushes, frightening Abe silly. “Who are you? Where am I?” Abe gasped. “You're in the land of Mu, and I'm Aisa Moirae,” she explained. She seemed surprised when Abe continued to look confused. He was puzzled because he heard her speak but her mouth never moved! She must have read his mind because she said, “Okay. I can try to use my mouth, although I haven't done this since I was a baby. I'm a sorceress in training, but my wand was stolen.” Just then, Aisa spotted the silver ring around Abe's finger. She yanked his hand up and examined it from all angles. “So it's you, you came back!” Aisa whispered in awe. “Back? I've never been here before,” Abe stated. “I'm trying to get home.” “You can't. You're stuck here until you get the second ring that allows you to travel between worlds,” Aisa said. “I'll explain everything and help you get your parents back if you help me find my wand. They're in the same place.”

About the Book
When Abe McDaniels has his tenth birthday party, he receives a parcel in the post with a ring, which is identical to the ring-shaped birthmark he carries on his finger. He’s unimpressed with the gift, but when a note falls from the packaging with a written warning, it suddenly gets his attention. Your mom and dad are in trouble. You must come to help them.
About the Author
Taliaferro Alexander was born in San Diego, California, but spent much of his youth in Florida. He currently lives in Clarksville, Tennessee, with his wife and two children. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from UMUC and has a degree in Computer Networks and Security. Since 2001, Taliaferro has been in the US Army, and he currently holds the rank of Warrant Officer. At the moment, he is studying for a master’s in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. Taliaferro also has a love of writing, and his first book, which is set to be part of a series and aimed at children, is due to be released in 2017. When he isn’t serving his country or writing books, Taliaferro keeps himself busy with other pursuits. He enjoys weight lifting, reading, and producing music. He is also something of an amateur movie critic, has recently started a fitness/casual clothing line called Tru-Nobilis, and also helps out in his community by volunteering at food banks every month. As far as the future is concerned, Taliaferro plans to continue his series of children’s books and gradually move into the young adult / adult sci-fi, fantasy genre.
