About the Book

This memoir tells the story of a life driven by alcohol addiction, a journey which ultimately led the author to incarceration in a California prison for multiple convictions of drunk driving. Mr. Garth describes his misconceptions and fears before entering jail, sarcastically nicknamed Camp Snoopy, the sometimes harrowing experiences he had inside, the unexpected friendships he made, and the surprising things he learned that would change his life.

About the Author

Matt Garth practiced law in New York City for over 20 years before moving to California where he taught multiple subjects in the California public school system for 11 years. Seventeen Days in Camp Snoopy, a drunk driver’s odyssey is his first book. He lives in California with his wife, Lilly. Matt has been sober, one day at a time, for over 14 years.
