About the Author

Donald Rilla is a retired Psychiatric Social Worker and a Forensic Fellow. He spent 35 years working in the Criminal Justice Field-working in a maximum security mental hospital, performing Competency to Stand Trial Evaluations, supervising Insanity Acquittees, Director of a Drug Court, Clinical Coordinator of a Crisis Ubit, and working with drug addicts. He is a Founding Member of NOFSW and authored the Code of Ethics. Mr. Rilla was a Past-President of NOFSW and the Academy of Forensic Social Work. He has presented numerous times at major conventions on a wide variety of forensic issues.
