My Poems are about my life experiences, growing up on a sugarcane plantation in Hawaii, at the age of thirteen I started shining shoes in bars and love palaces, after dropped out of school and joined the Merchant Marine. Later I was recruited by Uncle Sam to work in the Far East, where I ended up sailing Chinese Junks in the South China Sea. Left Uncle Sam and started smuggling lotsa’ heavy boxes and people, what, where, and how much, controlled my lifestyle for many exciting years. Hong Kong “NiteLife”, those Long Dress Dancers and “Sing Sing Girls” was my tease, Old Buddha’s Gong was my ease.
After retuning to Hawaii, became a Real Estate Developer, developing condominiums, some 3,000 units. Several high-rise buildings changed the “Skyline” of our Honolulu for the world to see. My success led to a roller-coaster ride of romances and heartaches with “Penthouses” for toys…the sun peeking stole the night…the little hummingbird just sat on air…and happiness.
was a new pair of shoes and a “Love Mate” I didn’t wanna lose. Fat Man Says…
