Raspberries on Tummies » is a story that shows young children a way to relate to a new baby joining their family. Although Alex is excited about being a big brother, how is he going to play with his little sister, Marissa ? She is so small! Alex’s Mom shows Alex just what to do and Alex decides it just may be OK being a big brother.

About the Author

Kristin M. Gillen is a teacher. She has taught children from Pre-K all the way through 12th Grade both French and English as a Second Language. She grew up in New Jersey and has a sister, Kate, who is five years younger than her. Her sister was born handicapped and therefore, Kristin had to find creative ways to relate to her younger sister. One of the first ways she formed a bond with her sister was to blow raspberries on her tummy, just like their Mom did for her.
