After two years of fighting with the facility over their relationship it is torn apart by betrayal of a so-called friend bringing drugs and alcohol into use. Now Max’s life becomes nothing but odd jobs and booze and drug use then he hits rock bottom and finally gets rehabilitated. Max moves away from the area back to be with his parents. He is set up in a home of his own but is watched. Debbie also moved with her parents. They happen to end up in the same city in the Pacific Northwest. She is searching for him because she has spotted him a couple of times in town but never has been able to get to him in time. After a major medication malfunction he discovers from an Indian medicine man (a ghost) that someone is looking for him. That’s when breaks and starts looking all over town for him. The police and emergency personal run all over town trying to catch her. They find her on a one way bridge with her father’s loaded 45 and she is ready to use it on herself. After what seems hours, her boyfriend from school goes out and gets her off the bridge. He doesn’t know who she is at first until she looks up at him. It's the man she has been looking for. They are finally reunited.
