For the past couple of decades, church congregations have grown noticeably large creating the new trend of mega-churches throughout the United States and world. It would appear to many people that religion is making an extraordinary comeback since the time of social upheaval in the sixties and seventies, yet a critical eye, trained to the signs of end-time warnings, see only impulsive campaigns of religious recruitment. Church leaders use a mixture of tactics to increase church membership and to build larger churches, but not all of those tactics are biblically verifiable. Because of the hurried process of church recruitment, the central message of Christianity is subsiding. Instead of stressing salvation as the main theme of Christianity, too many church leaders are promising financial prosperity as the prize, and in the meantime, millions of souls suffer from lack of biblical truth and of spiritual growth. Contender sheds light on the tactics and doctrines false prophets use that directly contradict the will of God and the Scriptures. As a tool of enlightenment, Contender also gives biblical solutions that help believers escape these false prophets and contend with false doctrine. Abiding by the instructions of the Bible, which says, “to earnestly contend for the faith” (Jude 3) Contender girds up in the loins of truth to battle the army of false prophets, preachers, teachers, and doctrine that invade the church. It serves as a guide for believers who are bold enough to stand against the works of the enemy, and who will teach other believers how to identify the truth and how to protect the innocent from deceit. Society today needs Contender because of the rapid spread of pretended Christianity, thus Contender brings a balance to Christianity by giving people another angle and the ability to decide what is true. | |
