About the Author

Marlene Louise Walters entered the ministry when she was forty as a wife and mother of three daughters. She graduated magna cum laude from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1978; and a Doctor of Ministry in 1980. Dr. Walters career involved hospital chaplaincy, teacher of Medical Ethics and United Methodist Church minister. She also started many Support Groups. You’re Not Alone for widow and widowers, Grief Recovery; Suicide Prevention for Teens and Adults; Supporting K.I.D.D.S. (Kids Involved in Death Divorce and Separation), to name a few. Marlene and Tom are retired and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They enjoy spending their summers on Langford Bay in Chestertown MD., and their winters in Melbourne.
