About the Book

Native American unrest in Shannon County, the site of the Pine Ridge Reservation, spilled over into adjacent counties and resulted in many unsolved murders in the 1970s. Against this backdrop we meet: a waitress who is hiding in a government witness protection program, a minister who is trying to put his family back together, an undertaker who is hiding from underworld figures, and a sheriff who is suddenly confronted with a mysterious death and a mix of false identities. Something Due recreates the uncertainties and terrors of this particular time in American history with humor, intensity, and mystery.

About the Author

JACK SEVILLE is a retired ordained minister from western Maryland who is a published novelist, poet, essayist, and photographer. In his career as a minister he served as a local pastor, a seminary professor, a national denominational staff person, and an area minister. Seville lives with his wife Fanny in Bismarck, ND. His previous two novels are entitled THROUGH HIS EYES ONLY and SOMETHING DUE.
