How long does it take to produce an e-book?

There is no set turnaround time for e-book conversion and production. We work on a first-come, first-served basis. What is the author’s royalty percentage?

The author receives 50% of the digital net payments received from sales of the e-book. Royalties will not be paid on copies provided free of charge or sold to the author. You will always receive 50% of the digital net sale when sold. Therefore, if sold on Xlibris.com at $3.99, you will receive $2.00. If sold in the retail channel at $3.99, the channel discount (varies by partner) will be deducted from the sales price and you will receive 50% of what is left.

Where to Buy E-books

When is my e-book submitted for listing to your network of retailers or channels?

There is no set turnaround time for e-book channel submission or distribution. We work on a first-come, first-served basis. What channels will e-books be on?

We do not provide a set list of channels as we work with multiple partners and each partner maintains a very dynamic list within its network. While we submit your e-book to as many channels possible, please understand that each channel or retailer reserves the right to refuse listing. Among our list of vendors are Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Rakuten Kobo Inc., and Google Play Books. There is no guarantee though that your e-book will appear on each of these sites. To see where your e-book is being sold, please use a search engine to see which vendors are carrying your e-book.

Can I request which distributors I want for my e-book?

No. Xlibris e-books will be distributed to as many vendors as possible within our network, including future partnerships that we and our partners acquire. It is then at the vendors’ discretion whether or not they list the e-book titles we submit to them.
