About the Author

Joel Charles is a native of St. Louis, MO. Born to parents of Haitian/West-Indian heritage, Joel has always been exposed to culture and the arts from an early age. Encouraged to read as early as three years old, Joel became interested in art as early as 7 years old, spending hours out the day drawing and sketching his own comics, inspired by the ones he began collecting for years afterward , as well as the animation that inspired his universal concepts of good and evil, particularly those of Japanese influence and origin. Some time after graduating from college, Joel began to rekindle his earlier love for art that took a back seat in later years while going to school for Psychology, and in time met with others sharing similar passions for art and literature. Kevin Daniel is a native of St. Louis, MO, second son of Willie and Betty Daniel, who originally hail from Bastion, Louisiana. Kevin is a fantasy/sci-fi buff, and used his creativity as early as elementary school to engage in creative writing endeavors with childhood buddies, similar to D&D or Lord of the Rings interactive concepts. Kevin met Joel while also going to college at Saint Louis University studying Criminal Justice, and the two spent many a night bouncing ideas and concepts for books or movies in which their own characters would have a life of their own. It wasn’t until late spring/early summer 2003, however; that the two friends began to seriously collaborate on harnessing an idea of an archetypical anti-hero- who would be known as SHADOWKILL tm, and began laying the groundwork for a phenomenal story that has culminated in what we see today.
