While watching television, four dachshunds learn that the new president of the United States is in the process of filling his cabinet. Because dogs don't completely understand human beings (which is understandable!), they think that the president's cabinet is where the nation's supply of dog biscuits is kept. Children, as well as adults, will "howl" with laughter as they join the daring dachshunds planning a cross-country journey of historic proportions!

About the Author

After a longtime career as an editor and writer in children’s book publishing, Barbara J. Behm had to look only to her own backyard for the next book idea. There she observed her four dachshunds in all their antics and hilarity. Barbara says she merely channels the dogs’ curiosity for the world and the breeds’ natural ridiculousness to develop a story. Stay tuned for more wiener dog adventures! Barbara collaborated with highly acclaimed illustrator Ellen Anderson on this book as well as a previous picture book, Tears of Joy.
