Shereen is a Sydney-based artist and writer, presenting today’s stories and journeys through musings, illustrations, and paintings. Charlie is her number one debut collection of poetry. Charlie is a masterpiece of fabrication. Most written work are never titled, for like her artworks, she finds that we relate most when we are not imposed by the burdens of others. The in a flashback it takes you to pre-birth of Charlie and dramatically explores how his life has come to what it is today. Birth section stills tell of Charlie?s love and the changes that have occurred in the modern society including the new robot that can do things like humans. While in fast forward future Charlie still holds on to his love for girlfriend despite their misunderstandings. This book is artistically crafted and with a story-line that fun and exciting. The character of Charlie is well developed, and you are drawn to his challenging life. I really love this story, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves poems and love stories."
