About the Book

This is a story that happened long ago in a land called Christmas. This is a story about a little white moose that wanted to help Santa deliver toys to all the boys and all the girls. The moose grew big and strong and was able to help Santa deliver the toys when a giant snowball rolled down the hill and destroyed Santa’s sleigh. This book teaches children patience and understanding. It also encourages them to help others and to never give up on a dream.

About the Author

I was born Cecil Claude Holt, in a small town of Ambrose, Georgia. Living with my mother and three brothers, times were tough. I soon started staying with my father and stepmother. We would visit Henderson's Bakery and soon I got a job working there, and that is also where I met my wife Lucille Mancil Holt. We have been married for 58 years. Growing up working in the bakery, I learned the trade well. I started baking at home, selling pies and cakes locally. Then one day I was able to buy a new building in 1982 and named it Holt's Bakery. Lucille and I have four children, one daughter and three sons. We also have 8 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. Fourteen great-grand children and two more on the way. Our daughter Lucinda Spivey is a retired teacher and has two sons. Our son Dwayne and his wife Debbie have a daughter and son. Our son Lloyd has three sons. our youngest son Howard has two sons and owns and runs Holt's Bakery in Douglas, Georgia. Our grandson Kyle runs the Nut Wizard shop, which is a product that I invented to pick up pecans and different nuts. our grandson Garrett Spivey has recently opened Holt's Sweet Shop in Waycross, Georgia. I also invented a corn creamer. We have a big industrious family. They all believe in hard work. I wrote this Christmas book a few years back and my children really wanted me to get it published and I am so glad that I did it. It means a lot to me and I hope that you enjoy it with your family.
