You are not reading this book by accident; God wants YOU to be a woman of faith! A woman of faith has the following characteristics:
• a Godly Spirit, she has made Jesus Lord in her heart, home, and habits;
• a Generous Spirit, she uses her talents and time to take care of the needs of her family and others.
• a Gentle Spirit, she is careful of what she does, she is cautious of what she says, and she vigilant to think about the feelings of others.
Does these words describe you? Or do they sound like impossible dreams? Your life can be all these things, and more, when you know how to fully engage your heart with positive thinking before it engages you!
Life does not often turns out the way you have planned. An unexpected diagnosis, an unexpected job loss, a surprise relationship disintegration, an accident, death and all kinds of trials and tribulations can come into your life at any time and crush your best plans apart. When that happens, you have a choice in life. You can allow your situation to destroy your life and try to endure in a depressed condition. Or, you can decide to rise above your challenges so that you can succeed regardless of them.
Each and every time your long-standing dreams perish, there is the possibility for new ideas to be born. Remember, if you hand over your situation to God, He will bring something good out of even the most terrible circumstances. In every disappointment there is an appointment to trust God’s plan. God is a restorative God who is integrating a greater, more eternal picture than you can see right now. Place your hope in Him.
Life has taught me that every woman experiences disappointments and frustrations in life, to some degree. Common categories of disappointments women experience include disappointments with marriage, children, self, others, circumstances, religion, and God. If you are disappointed, you are in good company with many others in our collapsed world. So don’t isolate yourself. Find some other women to talk with, inspire and support them and encourage each other as you deal with your disappointments.
I want to remind you that God has promised to always be with you and act in love toward you. Even though you cannot sense the presence of God with you, believe and trust His promises. He knows what you are going through, and He cares about you. Despite the fact that you may not understand why God has allowed certain situations to come into your life, you can be certain that His loving comfort and support is available to you at all times. Pray honestly about your opinions and feelings related to your circumstances. Don’t hesitate to express anything to God; He already knows anyway, and He wants you to draw closer to Him when you are struggling.
