Just Words on a Page

Just Words on a Page is a book aiming to help people when they are a bit lost, sometimes like myself. We look for comfort and strength in the words of others. When she wrote these quotes and poems, she was in a dark tunnel trying to find her way out. It took many years, but eventually the light got stronger, and she found strength in the poems and quotes that had been given to her.

Letters from My Soul and Just Words on a Page gave her strength to stand for the things she believes in, even when others do not. Still today, after fifteen years of starting her journey out of the darkness and into light, the words on these pages still instil strength in her, and remind her to stay strong. For most of her life, she walked around with what most people say ‘with rose-coloured glasses on’, which means she sees the world as a place where people are like her—honest, kind, and most of all, trustworthy. But that is not how all people are as some people have agenda that are not of good character. It was not until she lost her mother that see began to see people and realised that people will always take the easy road, and that you only really ever see the truth that lies inside of the true heart when they are in a pack and their true heart is revealed. For most people will always follow the flock even if it means hurting the ones they love, or going against their true selves. For people worry too much about the stand of others, and about being laughed at. Whereas she always say it how things are, and would always be the first one to stand up against the pack, even if it meant being hurt, for she will always stands by her convictions. Her favourite quote is ‘Evil can only triumph when good men stand back and do nothing.’ Whether we like it or not, there will always be good as well as evil on this planet, and hiding with our heads halfway under the bed is not going to stop the evil side of the world touching us, in one way or another—for evil men can still see your legs. Just because we choose not to see them or evil, does not mean they cannot see us. Lynette M. Collins does not live a life of good and evil, she just lives her life acknowledging and respecting both sides of the coin, good and bad, and writes about them both.
