About the Book

Adam lives as a caterpillar in the jungle with other creatures. He doesn’t like himself very much, and he feels sad and alone. He wants to fit in and to feel free and beautiful. Adam dreams of flying away and making his home anywhere he wishes. But one day, something changes. He wraps himself in a soft blanket and watches the seasons pass by. When he breaks free, Adam discovers his colorful wings. Once upon a Pillar, a picture book for children, follows Adam the caterpillar as he becomes a beautiful butterfly. It communicates the important message of loving oneself.

About the Author

Sherihan Achrafi comes from a Lebanese-Australian background. She earned a bachelor of arts degree and a master’s degree in secondary English teaching. She draws inspiration from her children and family. Achrafi has a passion for creative and imaginative writing.
