My sick young brother has called out to me As I entered the hospital, I was escorted by Thee My brother was saved from his saddened past He spoke of a church, his soul it had grasped My brother spoke of the members’ open hearts He said, “My brothers, go visit, seek a fresh start” You could see my brother had spoken while in pain I promised to visit as his tears brought the rain Palm Sunday it was, I showed up with doubt As I entered His house, people began to shout They grabbed my hands, formed a circle in praise A Spirit of hope sent me in a daze I watched as they prayed for my young, sick brother The Lord was within them as they prayed to no other I started to sweat as they prayed for my fears They continued to pray as my eyes filled with tears The moment had passed; I sat down to give praise Filled with emotion, never in my days Another preacher came and spoke of Thee She commanded the crowd to change I to We All who are without a blessing of job Raise your hand whether you are Susan or Bob Those who are blessed to still be employed I turned to a lady who stood in the crowd Placed my hand on her shoulder as she cried aloud Her body trembled while she prayed on this day Scared by her reaction, my heart filled today Touched by the Lord, I vowed to return The Lord smiled at me, for I had much to learn
