Mary Ganoe’s life is falling apart. The recent death of her father, coupled with constant pressure from her dysfunctional family, drives her to the brink of a breakdown. Phyllis’ Prophecy follows Mary’s journey to regain control over her life, receiving help along the way from her insightful psychologist, her youngest daughter, and a feisty octogenarian soothsayer. Mary also receives crucial guidance from several mystic sources: a portrait of a seagull named Sunshine, her mystical cat named Ra, and haunting supernatural visions. Mary’s rocky journey is forever altered by the discovery of a handwritten manuscript penned decades ago by her deceased paternal grandmother, Phyllis. As Mary begins to transcribe her grandmother’s story about a young farm girl named Ginger, a series of events lead her to believe that Phyllis had accurately foretold Mary’s future.
