A young mermaid named Mara rescues a newborn baby dolphin that has lost his mother. Mara's mission: to find a caregiver for the baby dolphin, which leads to new and challenging adventures for both of them.

About the Author

Mother of four, grandmother of ten, great-grandmother of four, and a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Kay has illustrated many books, including My Red Balloon by Eve Bunting and the original hardcover of Muggie Maggie by Beverly Cleary, for which she received the Garden State Children's Book Award. She also illustrated The Children's Hospital Guide to Your Child's Health and Development for Boston's Children's Hospital. She lives in Westfield, Massachusetts.
