About the Book

What if your doctor told you that you were HIV positive? Would you get depressed, think that your life was over, and want to give up? Well, Asha didn’t; she came home that day and began writing prayers and positive thoughts, which eventually gave her the motivation and strength to move on with her life. She is sharing her collection of positive thoughts to offer encouragement to those living with HIV or any other life-threatening illness.

About the Author

Asha Molock graduated from Cheyney University in Pennsylvania with a degree in education and taught in the School District of Philadelphia where she retired after twenty-nine years. Nancy became an HIV/AIDS advocate/activist who saw the need to combat stigma, shame, denial, and ignorance in her community surrounding the issues of HIV/AIDS. She blogs and speaks to educate and bring awareness about HIV and has appeared in the Philadelphia Daily News, KYW Channel 3 News, and WPEB community radio. She also wrote an article that appeared in the Black AIDS Weekly, TheBody.com, and The Westside Gazette. As a person living with the virus for thirteen years, her goal is to help society to come to terms with this epidemic by dialoguing more about HIV/AIDS and then taking action to help stop its spread. Nancy is also in the process of writing a memoir, “The Underground Woman,” about living in shame and guilt due to HIV stigma and then learning to be free to live her life well with HIV.
