About the Book

I felt the need to, along with the photographs, keep a day-to-day journal, because in that way, it would be something that I could look back on and remember and reminisce about whenever I wanted to. And having the pictures in a large frame instead of in an album that no one would look at. The truly incredible people I met, things I did, saw, and was able to have been privileged to be a part of by luck or good timing. And there were some really great moments. Especially the baseball journal.

About the Author

Now seventy years old, born in New York City. Grew up in Houston, Texas. Started working in Maxim's Restaurant (in Houston) with my father, Camille Bermann, at the age of sixteen. Went to France for two years, working in the vineyards of Bordeaux, France, and the kitchens of Nice, France. Was in the Marine Reserve. Continued working with my father and then became owner after Dad passed away. A total of forty wonderful years. Sold Maxim's in December of 1999. I now do catering, bar tending, and a few other things. And traveling a lot more.
