About the Book

This new book of fully illustrated narrative poems, titled Cartwheeling Through Life, is a collection of thoughts about events or feelings that are experienced by all of us. These poems came to our author when she was emotionally upright, upside down, terribly off balance or somewhere in between. The idea of a cartwheel is used by Toni as a metaphor for life. Cartwheels are childlike and fun, but not without difficulty or danger, particularly as we age. Toni believes that the point of a well lived and happy life is to not miss a beat while going hand over hand and foot after foot in a steady rhythmic pattern.
