You must understand that the purpose of Biblical Meditation is to bring you to the place of application. Did you get that? Biblical Meditation is to give birth to spiritual action! This is what we’re going to build the teaching upon in Volume Two; how to get to the place of knowing how to act! Knowing what to do is crucial to being effective in the spirit realm! “But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.” Deuteronomy 30:14 God wants you to see how to act, before you act! Let me say that again. God wants you to see how to act, before you act! The first portion of Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth . . .” It reveals to us the importance of keeping the Word of God in our mouths. “30The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. 31The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.” Psalm 37:30-31 God expects you to speak His Word! God expects you to fill your mouth with His Wisdom, and His Wisdom is found in His Word! God wants you to discipline yourself to speak in a manner that anchors your every move, because you’ve taken the time to deposit His Word in your heart! “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:14 The next part of Joshua 1:8 says, “You shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do all that is written therein.” Knowing what to do is birth from meditating on what has been said! Let me say that one more time! Knowing what to do is birth from meditating on what God has said! How present are you in His Presence? Biblical Meditation causes you to become present in God’s Presence! Let me explain to you what I mean by being present. If you and I were standing inside of a building and I asked you to go to my car, and you’ve never seen my car, you couldn’t go by your assumptions or your preconceived ideas, or not even by your feelings. If you did, more than likely, you would be wrong! So you would have to be present and attentive! In other words, you would have to take the time to listen to me describe what my car looks like and where it is parked before you even moved to carry out the assignment. It would require a concentrated effort on your part! You would have to get a clear and concise image of my car on the inside of you before any action is taken on your part. Are you getting this? Well in the same way, you have to be present and attentive in God’s Presence when you’re listening to Him! You have to be present and attentive to God speaking to you when you’re reading the Word of God! Many times, we’re hearing something from the Lord, but we’re not attentive enough to capture His definition or His description of what He’s saying! We’re not staying present long enough by meditating on what has been said or revealed to capture His image from what was spoken or revealed! You have to understand that Biblical Meditation is the spiritual principle of seeing where you can be, seeing what you can do, seeing who you can become, and seeing what God says you can have! It’s the principle of seeing! And through Biblical Meditation, you can move dimensionally in life! What do I mean? I’m talking about No More Small Thinking! No more small believing! No more small living! No more small asking! So therefore, there will be no more small receiving! Hallelujah! So the impact and the influence that you will have will be greater! Glory to God! Psalm 71:21 says, “Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.” How will God accomplish this? One way He will use is Biblical Meditation! God uses Biblical Meditation as a catalyst to move us dimensionally!

About the Author
Mark Roberson is founder and pastor of Faith Word Fellowship International, a dynamic, Spirit-filled church in Buffalo, New York.
