About the Book

Many believe that Mount Ararat is the final resting place of Noah's ark, which the Bible says protected Noah, his family, and pairs of every animal species on Earth during a divine deluge that wiped out most of humanity. Using paintings, poetry, and excerpts, the reader is given a majestic picture of the mountain believed to be where the Noah's Ark landed after the flood. Shmovan Shmovanyan, born in Ardashat in 1953. Shmovan Shmovanyan studied painting at the Terlemazian School of Arts and has since had his work displayed in Russia, Turkey, France, the United States, and more. Featuring excerpts, poetry, and writing about Mount Ararat and Shmovan Shmovanyan in English, Armenian, and Russian.
