About the Book

This book discusses and describes a variety of patients and conditions treated over a period of more than thirty-six years. It is my fervent wish that you will enjoy reading the cases I describe. Hopefully, you will realize how wonderful the mind is and how beneficial hypnotherapy can be in alleviating human suffering. It has been written in a way that I believe the general public and even some of my colleagues will enjoy reading it. Depression, anxiety, fear, anger, self-esteem, psychosomatic diseases, and unwanted habits have been treated successfully.

About the Author

Dr Jules Leeb practiced as a general practitioner in a small country town for ten years before specializing in ob-gyn. While practicing as a specialist, he became interested in hypnosis for labor. He attended courses and fell in love with hypnosis and hypnotherapy. He successfully delivered over three thousand patients who used self-hypnosis as the only form of pain relief for their labors. He also trained patients for his colleagues. Since 1993, he spent his professional day practicing ob-gyn in the morning and medical hypnoanalysis in the afternoons. He retired from ob-gyn practice in 2002 and migrated to Perth, Australia, from Johannesburg, South Africa. He still practices hypnotherapy daily at the ripe old age of eighty-five. He derives immeasurable pleasure from the honor of having had the opportunity of changing so many minds for the better. He had the honor of being the vice president of the South African Society of Clinical Hypnosis from its inception in 1980 until 2000. He has taught courses in hypnosis in Ireland, Australia, and in England, for the Royal Society of Hypnosis. He has lectured and been a keynote speaker at hypnosis congresses. Until his retirement in 2002, he was a member of the International Society of Hypnosis, the South African Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and an associate member of the American Society of Hypnosis and the American Academy of Medical Hypnoanalysis.
