About the Book
This book is an accumulation of similar loanwords in English and Uyghur over the span of more than ten years. This project started when the volunteers of NSW Umit Uighur Language School discovered when teaching their students their mother tongue that it’s easier for them to understand when it’s a loanword or when there is a certain similarities between the two languages. As majority of the students were born in Australia, English comes somewhat naturally to them. This book is a research done on the similarities between the two languages to help whoever is interested to better understand the Uyghur language.
