It was me Lil Pippin and my good friend Shiny in the lunch line waiting to get our lunch trays. We were talking and giving each other fives because we were ready to eat. Shiny and I weren’t in the same class room, we just ate together, so we had a lot to talk about. The teachers would always tell us, “please keep the noise down,” or “please keep the talking to a minimum.” We weren’t the only ones talking though, everybody talked in the lunch line. I think this is one of those times when mom says, “You don’t have to do what everyone else is doing.” As we were talking saw the prettiest girl in the school about to walk pass me. It looked like she was looking directly at me with the perkiest smile, we both were smiling away at each other. That’s when Shiny turned and said to me, “hey that pretty girl is checking me out.” I said in quite a cocky voice, “no she’s not,” I knew she was really looking at me.

About the Book
Lil Pippin is a curious sort of kid that did what he did. Through trial and error and strife, he drudged through school life. With the help of friends and brothers, he learned like none other that looking at girls and fixing his hair made some teacher seem very unfair.
About the Author
A child growing up in the city of Chicago finds Himself in the most peculiar situations. Author Uriah, aka Cool Man “U” lived the majority of His childhood on the trying streets in the Austin area of the Chicago’s west side. As a middle child with three older brothers and one younger brother raised by a hard working single Mother, life was quite interesting to say the least. Despite many, many setbacks including being kick out of high school, Uriah manage to recuperate with a vengeance by getting back into that very high school almost two years later and graduating early with honors. Finding that life was still very challenging in spite of a high school diploma and various technical and vocational college certifications, He decided to pursue one of the many passions that burned within Him in the imaginative written form of His childhood experiences.
