About the Book

"

This is the beginning of my plan to write a series of books as my grandchildren grow and attempt their adventures.

MY MOMMY'S NOT A PEANUT is an adventure for ages 2-5 about a toddler on a mission to find out what her real name is as she's been called several nicknames throughout her life by different people.  Just before the experience is over she realizes why she has so many names.  From the perspective of a toddler it must be confusing to be called so many different names.  My granddaughter's name is Gianna but she doesn't really get that until she discovers that her mommy really isn't a peanut.

I feel that the majority of the readers will relate to this because we all seem to have nicknames and it will give an opportunity for discussion for the reader to explain the bedrock of their given nicknames.

Please be on the look out for PJ’s next adventure, GARDENING WITH GRANDPA, when her memories are being developed as she enjoys having fun spending her busy days with her great grandpa as they build a garden and share their vegetables.

About the Author

I define happiness as the thing that makes you want to see tomorrow. My name is Khristine Griffin, I am a mother and a grandmother and apparently now a writer. I thought the greatest moments of my life were gone when I was no longer mommy, until my grandchildren were born. Watching them take on adventures makes me have daily stories to repeat at work and probably drive my coworkers crazy. I have become one of those grandma’s. My books are about my grandchildren’s adventures and my daily desire to learn from their experiences. I am fortunate enough that my granddaughter is very funny and says what ever is on her mind. My grandson is only 3 months old so his adventures are just starting. I am 48 years old and have been divorced twice. I am a medical assistant and was going to school to be an RN but struggled with math. After I heard my granddaughter tell someone that her name was PJ, I saw what confusion it must be to a small child to be called so many terms of endearments. Her name is Gianna but I call her PJ because I have always called my daughter Peanut so Gianna is Peanut Junior. I am no longer interested in being an RN. I am interested in writing down all of these memories of two growing children and what it is that they see and feel. My daughter and my grandchildren are most definitely my tomorrow.
