About the Book

Trees Are Majestic targets readers four to ten years old, but is an appealing book for the whole family. It engages readers into observing the beauty, utility, and majesty of trees, as well as the joy and excitement that comes from planting and nurturing a small seed until it becomes a majestic tree. The book is delightfully written in poetic verse, which will easily capture the reader’s attention and stimulate vocabulary building. A book to be enjoyed equally for silent reading as well as for audible reading. Trees Are Majestic is, in fact, a salute to Arbor Day!

About the Author

Hyacinth J. Burgess-Gregory received her Diploma in Education and was a teacher for 10 years. She later worked in the private sector for many years while concurrently gaining her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Florida International University, as well as her Master of Science (MSc) degree in Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. However, she never fully left her first love, the classroom. She continued sporadically as a temporary teacher and saw, first hand, the children's need for mental stimulation through reading. As a result, she was inspired to write children's books. She is not a stranger to authorship, because she has been writing poems since her high school years. She opines, "Writing is a wonderful, creative process that brings joy, continuously, as one relives the experience. It is like a fresh flower that never fades; instead, continues to add beauty and fragrance to the surrounding atmosphere. Writing is a gift that keeps on giving."
