About the Book

Join the adventures of Jules the Orange-Breasted Parrot, Pete the Pygmy Possum, and Quintin the Quokka, three Australian animals as they go on a walkabout and explore the world. In their fun and friendly way, they will meet new animals, new cultures, new languages, new currencies, and new flags as they visit, explore, and learn about exciting cities in the world. These stories were inspired by my love of travel and my want to ignite this passion in children. It is a very common Australian passage of life to travel the world and explore different cultures and ways of life before returning home, knowing your place in the world. I hope to encourage this in a fun and colorful way.

About the Author

This is my first story of many more I hope and I treasure the opportunity to share it with the children of the world. I spent the typical 2 years living in London and travelling Europe and it was the time of my life, I worked out my place in the world and I think it’s a really important thing to do, something you owe yourself. I dreamed of travel from a very early age and I thought I’d take the chance to write about it, for children, in a fun way, opening their eyes and dreams to a possibility. This was inspired by the eternal support of my Mum, my very best friend, who let me go ‘walkabout’ and find myself, under less than ideal circumstances. She supported this idea, she supported me and this first story is of her home town London, where her adventure started.
