About the Book

Do you know a child who sits alone or a teen struggling with a health problem like obesity, depression, or addiction? This book outlines five components of a successful program that boosts children’s mental and physical health and that can be implemented in any town. The author shares moving testimonials of impoverished families who have benefitted from the program’s emphasis on mentorship and movement, which provides, as one participant said, “structure and stability in an often uncertain world.” This book is also available in French and Spanish.
