About the Book

In this book, The Rev. Patricia Budd Kepler celebrates the life of Miranda, the dog she and her husband shared in retirement. As she writes poignantly about Miranda’s last days and death, she tells stories about Miranda’s sixteen years of life and her profound influence in their lives. Ms. Kepler’s grieving Miranda’s loss provides the counterpoint to her gratitude for the life the two shared. Miranda was her angel dog. The life lessons she learns from Miranda lead to fresh reflections about God. Patricia Kepler invites readers to connect with the lives and deaths of their own pets, and with the love people share with them. About the Author

The Reverend Patricia Budd Kepler is a Minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA). She has served as Pastor, University Chaplain, Faculty member at the Harvard Divinity School, and member of the Presbyterian Board of Christian Education. In these roles, she has traveled across the country speaking on topics from feminist theology to work in contemporary society. She and the Reverend Thomas F. Kepler, her husband of nearly sixty years, have raised three sons, six grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. In her family and those of her children, dogs have always had a special presence. This book is a tribute to her latest dog, Miranda. Ms. Kepler has written three other books and many articles, including “Life Lessons from my Dog”, her first book about Miranda.
