About the Book

This is George’s third book. First his memoir, Shades of Darkness; then a children’s book, The Mole and the Violin. And now, The Mole and the Violin Part Two. “I enjoyed the characters in the first children’s book, and I didn’t want them to die. The story was far from over. Shalonda and Mikey’s bonds, their relationships sat the stage for future adventures, so it was only natural for me to write another story about the friendly and adventurous two.” When George retired from being the national field service director for the Blinded Veteran’s Association, he wondered what to do. He discovered writing. He found a groove, and now writing is a habit. “I’m addicted,” he said. George and wife Maria Socorro recently moved from Silver Spring, Maryland, to central Delaware, and they love their over-fifty community and the slower pace of living. George continues to ride his tandem bike and travel with his wife, cruising the world.
