PHILOSOPHY OF UNITY
What then is Philosophy of unity? Philosophy of unity is a philosophical study of the natural unity that exists between and among beings. It tries to investigate the relationship between different kinds of beings, while concomitantly emphasizing the oneness of all forms of fragmented entities and their opposites. Philosophy of unity appreciates and recognizes the uniqueness that is natural to individual beings, but this uniqueness does not make any being an independent existent. It stresses that these individual unique beings can only function effectively when they are connected with other beings. Thus philosophy of unity is that which advocates for mutual respect for all beings irrespective of their physical nature, differences and essences. This emerging philosophy therefore seeks to transform the perceptions we have about the ideology of superiority to the philosophy of complementarity . It is also aimed at correcting the maxim of claiming to be more important than another, the concept of class struggle as well as eliminating the creation of exclusive boundaries between and among beings. Philosophy of Unity introduces complementarity and unification as new paradigms for mutual living. In advancing what should be taken as the methodology of philosophy of unity, the book insists on the unification and complementary methods where all manner of beings and their opposites are accommodated as having existential values that can be contributed to the overall good of humankind. As one of the emerging philosophical movements or schools of thought for the people of the contemporary era and beyond, philosophy of unity is a bridge that links all kinds of existing beings as one of the authentic paradigms to be adopted in the making of a better society. It is important we emphasis that philosophy of unity does not deny existence of conflict, disagreement, negation, opposites or multiplicity. Rather, it advocates for cooperativeness, mutuality, complimentarity, tolerance, understanding and good relationships amongst these different contraries. All the integral parts of existence [the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly, the right and wrong] constitute the foundation of philosophy of unity. Hence philosophy of unity can be said to be philosophy of tolerance, as well as philosophy that acknowledges the beauty of the unity in diversity, just as it appreciates the unity of the multiplicity of all beings.

About the Book
This book is borne out of the author’s desire to introduce Philosophy of Unity as one of the emerging philosophical paradigms tasked with the responsibility of offering practical ideas to contend with the alarming crisis, disunity, division, disassociation, war, terrorism, distrust and the general unrest that have engulfed the present human society. The author decries human disjointedness from the original purpose of love and the need for complementary living. Thus, attributing the challenges so experienced in the recent human tension-laden society to this negation.
The book stands out as a portal of plethora of knowledge that unravels love as the ultimate unifier of the multiplicity of things in the universe, of which the unity and the separation of things in the world are necessitated by it. The author reasoned that, without love, the idea of the universe is inconceivable.
The principle of inclusiveness is adopted by the author to drive home the point that the warring opposites, the conflicting issues and the fragments characterizing the universe should not be taken as reasons for division and disunity. Rather, it should be seen as means through which human limitations can be overcome if these different entities are brought together for the overall good of human beings. Hence, all fragments and their opposites are necessary since it is by their existence that our individuals and collective essences are fully put to use.

About the Author
Michael Bassey Eneyo is a Nigerian philosopher, theologian, fearist, a detribalized political activist and a researcher from Ekpri Ikot Eyo Edem, Akpabuyo LGA, CRS. He is a scholar from the prestigious University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria. And a fellow of The Fearology Institute [TFI], Canada as well as a Director, Fearism Academy, Nigeria. His earlier book is Philosophy of Fear: A Move to Overcoming Negative Fear. He has many academic articles published to his credit. His philosophical attitude is unification/complementarity: where opposites are taken into consideration as having relatively equal existential values. He is a philosopher who seeks unity of the diversity and the integral parts of all beings; using love as a catalyst. Eneyo is an officer of the Nigeria Customs Service.
