About the Book

Bones in the Woods A human skull and scattered bones were found on property owned by college professor and avid fly fisherman Dr. Jimmy Houston. Construction of his dream home came to a sudden halt when police investigators cordoned off the site and began a meticulous search for evidence. They quickly determined the bones were those of a male, and he had a bullet hole in his temple. Who was this mysterious man, and how had his remains ended up on a remote hillside in West Virginia overlooking the Cheat River? Was his death a suicide, or had someone killed him? Jimmy, whose curiosity was insatiable, began a search for answers. With the help of Sam Miller, a former state policeman, he delved into the world of unscrupulous lawyers and natural gas lease speculators. When a mysterious woman entered the scene, his investigation took an unexpected turn, but he was determined to follow the evidence wherever it took him. When he was warned to stop stirring up trouble by a threatening voice on his phone, he knew violence was bubbling near the surface. Jimmy didn’t know who was at the root of the trouble, but he meant to find out.
