About the Book

Who says we have to live in someone else’s shadow? Tired of being the magician’s squished sidekick, the Amazing Rabbitini decides to strike out on her own and make her own magic in this world. Along the way, she discovers a young girl, Amy, who learns that each of us has our own unique talents and our own secret ambitions. Who says you have to live in someone’s shadow? Not content to play second fiddle, a magician’s rabbit decides to strike out on her own, and make her own magic. After all, she knows the secrets, and believes she deserves the spotlight as much as the next person. Besides, why should the old, tired performers have all the fun? Rabbitini’s decides to share her bag of tricks with young children who are not quite sure of their own place in the world. She meets Amy, a sunny young girl is puzzled by the funny bunny’s act. “Hey, you’re supposed to come from top hats, not the other way around,” Amy tells the rabbit. Rabbitini corrects this common misconception, and convinces Amy that anyone and everyone should be allowed to chase their dreams, and do surprising things. Amy, of course, would like to know all the secret tricks, so she can be just like her new friend, Rabbitini. But that’s not the point, the rabbit explains. Everyone should have their own unique path that can lead to the greatest performance of their lifetime. It can be science, music, art, anything. “You’re amazing, Rabbitini,” the young girl responds with a supreme compliment. The name sticks forever. In the end both Amy and the Amazing Rabbitini are more determined than ever to bring their own gifts and talents to a waiting world.
