As a young boy, Frankie watched his older brother play lacrosse. Day after day, he dreamed of being a star lacrosse player, too. But, he did not believe that he could do it. In fact, he did not think that he could play at all. Until, one day, his brother gave him a magical Indian lacrosse stick. Would this stick be just what he needed? Would its magic make Frankie into the lacrosse player he always wanted to be? The Magic Lacrosse Stick tells about a boy’s inspiring and heartwarming journey towards being not only a star athlete, but an individual with heart, soul, and confidence.

About the Author

Frank, currently a fifth grade student, resides in northern New Jersey along with his mother, father, and older brother, Anthony. Frank loves all sports. He plays football, wrestling, hockey, and, of course, lacrosse. Frank also enjoys playing video games and hanging with his buddies during his free time. Frank's inspiration to write comes from his grandmother who has authored life inspiring poems. Frank wants this short story to motivate young athletes to perform to their fullest potential. The coaches and school teachers in Frank's life, along with strong family support, have enabled him to strive for excellence. As a young athlete, it is not about winning, but believing in yourself as "dreams do come true.” SO DREAM!
