About the Author

Sandra Bordenca is a first-time nonfiction author who hopes to have many sequels in her future. She has had a disability known as cerebral palsy since birth, which has required her to use a wheelchair throughout her life. The goal of her writing is to help the disabled and nondisabled alike realize that having a disability does not mean disadvantage. Your life can still be filled with a tremendous amount of joy, love, and laughter, which is abundantly obvious in her book, It’s Okay to Laugh . . . (Sometimes). She grew up in a city outside of Boston, Massachusetts, with her loving parents and two sisters and is currently living in Framingham, Massachusetts, with her beloved husband, Mo, and their huggable dog, Bo. In her spare time, she loves spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys knitting and crocheting items to help raise money for multiple sclerosis research since her younger sister was diagnosed in 2009.
