About the Book

The journey to leadership is not easily mapped; there is no typical path, no always right choice. Just as each person has unique qualities, each journey is unique. The book accomodates that uniqueness. It encourages leaders, and aspiring leaders, to browse chapters and sections, identify issues, concerns or strengthsm and then apply analysis techniques that are clearly described and documented.

About the Author

Jennifer Ryan was born in Pemberton, Western Australia and moved to Perth as a child. She has worked as a Primary, Middle and Secondary School teacher in Queensland and Western Australia. Her interest in technology lead to her becoming the Systems Administrator-Manager and Head of IT and Business Faculty in secondary colleges in Perth. Feeling a call she decided to return to her chosen profession—teaching not network management. To be able to offer more to the schools in which she worked, Jennifer took on the role of Head of Middle School in a remote Western Australian school. This role provided multiple opportunities to hone and develop her skills, knowledge and awareness in curriculum and leadership and management. She also worked secondary school Deputy Principal in a North Queensland secondary school. Jennifer managed to negotiate these career paths while being a stay-at-home mother, raising two children, helping with a family business, studying at university and dealing with life as a Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis sufferer. Jennifer is available for speaking or webinar engagements on any topic covered in the book. Please contact her personally: jennie@jrcs.com.au She is an accomplished speaker and presenter, and had been involved, at both committee and management level, in educational organizations (ECAWA, ACEL). It is from these experiences that she has created several models and procedures designed to support the drive for success. These have been developed and are now available as support documents, fl iers, journals and books for parents, teachers and anyone interested, leadership or administration.
