Timothy Pychyl’s book on procrastination is picked up by Tarcher Publishing

Dr Timothy Pychyl

Dr. Timothy A. Pychyl, an Xlibris and now Tarcher Publishing author, addresses the concept of making the most of our time in his book, The Procrastinator’s Digest: A Concise Guide to Solving the Procrastination Puzzle.

An associate professor at Carletown University in Ottawa, Canada, Pychyl has dedicated a lot of his time to researching about procrastination, and is recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities on the subject. Also known as “Dr. Procrastination,” he has received the prestigious 3M National Teaching Fellowship award.

With numerous journal entries, conference presentations, and blog contributions, Pychyl educates readers on “self-regulation failure” and reducing procrastination. In order to make such information more accessible to the general reader, he even presents his ideas in comic strips that he makes in partnership with co-author Paul Mason.

Recently, Pychyl signed with Tarcher Publishing, Penguin USA’s imprint created specifically for titles that promote overall wellness. Tarcher/Penguin vice president Joel Fotinos expressed his firm’s enthusiasm on republishing Pychyl’s book.

“Tarcher/Penguin is excited to sign up one of Author Solutions’ success stories and bring it to an even wider audience,” Fotinos said. “We are always looking for books that inspire people to live their greatest lives, and Dr. Pychyl’s book helps readers do just that by showing them how they can overcome the damaging and pervasive habit of procrastination. Dr. Pychyl’s expertise, humor, and passion for helping people cope with this issue inspired us, and we’re honored to publish this book.”
