About the Author

Penny de Byl is a professor of computer game design and development, artificial intelligence, animation and educational technology. She has been awarded numerous awards for teaching and research throughout her twenty-year career. She has a Ph.D. in artificial intelligence and computer game character programming. To date she has written five books including the best selling Holistic Game Development and Artificial Life Possibilities: A Startrek Perspective. White Clay Gods is the sequel to Lost Souls and The Chaldean Legacy a work of fiction combining Penny’s expertise in computer science and technology with her love of crime mysteries and police procedurals. De Byl brings back the same characters we have grown to love (and hate) and introduces some exciting new ones. In this story we pick up with the team getting ready to populate a development on Titan. Exceptional teenagers have been individually selected to join the mission. An unexpected man has also been granted access to this new colony, Arden Bradford.
Arden Bradford is responsible for the death of Marcela and Kian Barret's baby. Bradford had been conducting illegal experimentation and when it was discovered accidentally shot Marcela in the stomach. Marcela and Kian had assumed he was rotting away in a prison somewhere only to be confronted by him on Titan. When Kian discovers that Arden has come to Titan he calls upon Special Agent Zoe Moore along with her team, Nick and Holly to investigate.
A clairvoyant, Gwen and a psychologist, Myles are also present to evaluate the teenagers while on Titan. As it turns out there is a deeper meaning to their presence and a shocking secret that the teenagers hold.
De Byl weaves a thrilling, engaging and remarkably believable science fiction tale that brings to life space exploration, inhabitation, and the technology that will bring us there.
