Grandma’s Song

About the Book

A grandmother comforts her granddaughter by gently singing to her: “You are special, yes, it’s true. You are special in all you do!” From there, we witness little Nia navigate her way through various obstacles that young children often experience. Along the way, she is reminded of her grandmother and their special song. We journey with Nia as her belief in herself and her abilities are strengthened. Grandma’s Song is an endearing tale about believing in yourself and the wonderful capacity we all have, both young and old, to encourage others along our way.

About the Author

Iris Hagan is passionate about educating, enriching, and empowering the lives of young learners. She realized her passion for working with children early on and partnered with various nonprofit organizations for several years before embarking upon a career in early childhood education. She obtained an MAT in elementary education through the University of Phoenix and is currently obtaining certification in special education at Georgia State University. As a preschool teacher, she has read countless stories by other authors and made up stories of her own. This greatly influenced her decision to publish a story with a message she has worked diligently for years to instill in her students.
