About the Book

The scout in this story will make you look at your environment in a whole new light. We don't often think of what kind of hardship we might be imposing on our insect and animal kingdoms or how all creatures have to learn to share the same planet. Giving Timmy some human fears and anxieties helps you see what the ants need to do to survive when their world is threatened. It might even keep you from stepping on them on the sidewalk next time!

About the Author

Grayce Presnar is a retired US Postal Service rural mail carrier living in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was able to turn her retirement into the teaching profession she wasn't able to attain after attending Slippery Rock State College many years ago. She now enjoys substitute teaching and writing children's stories in her retirement. Most of her stories evolved from real life circumstances involving her grandchildren or her own pets. Some of her stories stem from animals she encountered on her mail route. She blames her grandkids for turning her into a storyteller.
